Innovative<\/span><\/b>\u2122,<\/span> Part of Clarivate<\/span><\/b>\u2122<\/span>, is readying to launch additional push notifications for Innovative Mobile, adding account and circulation notices to an already powerful feature. This will allow libraries to reach patrons directly on their mobile screens, keeping pace with today\u2019s world.<\/span><\/p>\n

The enhanced push notifications are in beta testing now, and are expected to be available by the end of the year.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

These additional notices will add to the current ability to send ad hoc messages, and will include hold pickup notifications, due date reminders, overdue alerts and account expiration.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe know the smart phone is a critical part of people\u2019s daily routines, and this new release places the library squarely in the center today\u2019s fast-paced life. These push notifications will elevate the library and provide more immediate visibility for the end-user,\u201d said Tom Jacobson, Vice President and Executive Library Advocate & Strategist at Innovative. <\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Innovative Mobile libraries on release 2023.1 or later will automatically receive the new feature. Libraries on an older release will need to schedule one more upgrade, and then will start receiving automatic releases after that.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Innovative Mobile, created in collaboration with <\/span>Solus<\/span><\/a>, is a powerful tool to make library services, resources and offerings easily accessible to the community, specifically by meeting the community where they are \u2013 on their phones! From promoting library events via the\u202f<\/span>Vega Program<\/span><\/a>\u202fintegration, to the unique Innovative Mobile Reading Tracker, and extensive econtent support \u2013 libraries can boost their digital presence in a convenient and user-friendly way that engages and pulls in their community for continued interactions.\u202f\u202f<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Behind the scenes, Innovative Mobile is a full-service library app with features that range from simplifying online payments and providing low-cost patron self-service options, to supporting digital library cards and self-check features. The app is fully customized to each library\u2019s logo, colors, and layout, to best represent the library, its values, culture, and initiatives, including over 20 language options.\u202f\u202f<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Innovative Mobile works with Sierra and Polaris libraries and includes search integration with <\/span>Vega Discover<\/span><\/a> for seamless connectivity to the library\u2019s resources and patron accounts.\u202f\u202f<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
