A library for every patron: The story behind Kids and other Themed catalogs in Vega Discover, a year after the feature was released<\/span><\/i>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

With Vega Discover, libraries can curate an experience as unique as their communities. For libraries with Premium or Consortia packages, Vega Discover offers the ability to create multiple catalogs with unique URLs, tailored to their communities. Libraries can then set up collection parameters for the catalog so that search results only return items from the Children\u2019s Category.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Building personalized experiences for all<\/span><\/b>\u00a0<\/span><\/h6>\n

Each themed catalog has a custom homepage designed through an intuitive page builder. Imagine a welcome mat for each room in your house that highlights something unique about that space. A genealogy homepage might showcase a collection of historic newspapers and documents, a vinyl homepage might highlight records in the library\u2019s collection, and a rare maps homepage could display antique globes and atlases owned by the library.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Librarians can upload custom visuals, choose from professionally designed templates, and arrange content to highlight collections, events, or resources.
